What the French Ministry of Culture records
Vieille gentilhommière qui tire toute sa célébrité des séjours qu'y fit Alfred de Vigny, de 1850 à 1853. L'édifice se compose d'un corps de logis rectangulaire dont la façade principale donne sur le sud. Deux tours carrées existaient à chaque extrémité. Au centre, tour polygonale renfermant l'escalier à vis et servant d'entrée. Dans une tourelle accolée sur le côté et couverte par un toit conique, un petit escalier conduit au cabinet occupant le sommet de la tour et dans lequel, d'après la tradition, le poète écrivit plusieurs de ses oeuvres.
