Château de Villebois-Lavalette stands in Villebois-Lavalette (Charente), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 12th century, 13th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on a hill overlooking the old Boisné road between Saintes and Périgueux, the remains of the Villebois-Lavalette castle combine a 13th century fortified enclosure with a wing of a manor house built in the 17th century. Visitors can see seven semicircular towers, a two storey Romanesque chapel dating from 1142, and a Romanesque keep counted among the largest in western France. A fire in 1822 destroyed the east wing and the dome of the classical residence, leaving only the north wing and part of the south wing standing.
