The château des Granges stands in Escurolles, in the Allier department, on the site of a fortified house built in the second half of the 15th century. The complex served for a long time as a farm, which explains the agricultural buildings that still surround the courtyard today. Visitors can see partly preserved moats, a stone bridge leading to a gatehouse pierced with arrow slits, and a round tower used as a dovecote on the west facade.
