What the French Ministry of Culture records

Deux châteaux ont été édifiés à 200 mètres l'un de l'autre : le château de Sales et le château de Thorens. Le château de Sales a été démantelé sur ordre de Louis XIII en 1630 ; seule subsiste une petite chapelle élevée sur le site en 1672. Le château de thorens, cité avant 1249, a été remanié aux 15e et 16e siècles, puis restauré après les dégâts causés par l'armée de Louis XIII en 1630. Au 19e siècle, le château est remis au gôut du jour par l'architecte Ruphy. Tour ronde du 13e siècle. Poterne et tour carrée du 15e siècle. Le corps de logis a été construit au 16e siècle et agrandi au 19e siècle.
