Château d'Allinges-Neuf stands in Allinges (Haute-Savoie), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument. Admission is free. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
On the hilltop known as the ‘butte des châteaux’, above the village of Allinges in Haute-Savoie, the ruins of Allinges-Neuf occupy a site held since the 10th century, only steps from those of Allinges-Vieux, its former feudal rival. Visitors can walk among the remains of a castle wall, two barbicans and a chapel still used by a religious community. From the ridge, the view opens onto Thonon-les-Bains and Lake Geneva, now the only thing the two former enemy strongholds share.
