On the shores of Lake Geneva, Ripaille castle began as a residence of the counts and dukes of Savoy before becoming a Carthusian monastery and later a Belle Époque home for a Swiss industrialist. The visit moves through these three periods: a room devoted to the 14th and 15th centuries, the medieval moat and the main terrace, then a 1900 circuit recreating a kitchen, dining room and boudoir. The estate, planted with vineyards and woodland, also invites walking beyond the buildings themselves.
