Avully Castle is a 14th-century fortified house that once guarded, in the commune of Brenthonne, the passage between Mont de Boisy and the Voirons range toward the Chablais region. Restored after decades of neglect, it shows a quadrangular enclosure ringed by moats, a spur-shaped tower, a square tower with machicolations housing a chapel, and living quarters including a hall decorated with the coats of arms of Savoyard families. Once a ruin, the site has recovered its walls, roofs, and its Italian and French-style gardens.
