Perched on an isolated rock encircled by the Mosses stream, in Lully, Haute-Savoie, the ruins of the château de la Rochette, also known as château du Vernay, recall a fortress built in the mid 13th century by the lords of Cervens. The polygonal enclosure still shows a cylindrical keep to the north and two round towers that once stood at the southern corners. Already in ruins by 1590, the site was long used as a quarry before being protected.
