Its two-storey façade, pierced with numerous windows, leads to a raised entrance reached by a curved staircase. The building is chiefly remembered for its twentieth-century past: Marshal Pétain stayed there in 1943 and 1944, and hosted the German general Gerd von Rundstedt on two occasions.
