Set in the Bourbonnais countryside between Saint-Germain-de-Salles and the village of Salles, this château dating from the early 16th century retains the outline of a quadrangle once flanked by four towers. Three of them were lowered over time, but the south keep has survived largely intact. The complex combines the old fortified house with a large outbuilding range, joined by a fragment of tower, reflecting the gradual shift from stronghold to residence.
