In Jenzat, in the Allier department, two châteaux stand in the same park at right angles to each other: a round 13th century tower with a 15th century dwelling on one side, and an 18th century classical château built for the Jouvenel family on the other. The whole estate, including its gardens, monumental gate and long avenue, is a listed historic site where three building periods remain visible side by side. Inside the 18th century château, visitors can see a wrought iron staircase and period woodwork.
