What the French Ministry of Culture records

Ancienne résidence d'été des évêques de Viviers, le Bosquet fut construit au début du 16e siècle. L'édifice forme un quadrilatère droit, à quatre corps de bâtiment flanqués de deux tours rondes aux angles sud, refermés sur une cour intérieure. La tour pentagonale conserve son escalier d'origine, à noyau hélicoïdal autour d'un vide central. L'aile ouest renferme le logis principal. Les autres corps de bâtiments devaient renfermer les communs et deux autres logis. A la Révolution, le domaine est morcelé à la vente des biens des émigrés. Jusque dans les années 1960-1970, l'édifice a servi de granges et de maison de ferme. Cet édifice témoigne dans sa conception d'un souci de créer une résidence civile, ainsi que de la diffusion de l'art italien au début de la Renaissance.
