What the French Ministry of Culture records

Edifié au 15e siècle (donjon) , modifié au 18e (porche) sans doute pour en améliorer les conditions d'habitat, le manoir dépendait à l'origine des ducs de Mercoeur. L'édifice se compose de trois corps de bâtiments entourant une cour rectangulaire fermée par un portail monumental. Le premier corps de bâtiment est un ancien donjon à base carrée auquel est accolé un petit bâtiment plus récent. L'ancien donjon présente un aspect massif et a conservé un contrefort marquant sa destination défensive. A l'angle donnant sur la cour, se trouve la tourelle d'escalier qui a conservé trois bretèches à sa partie supérieure. Le troisième bâtiment, formait les anciens communs. Le commun est un édifice caractéristique de la région : petit bâtiment rectangulaire prolongé par un petit pavillon à base carrée un peu plus élevé. Le porche, situé sur le mur reliant le donjon au commun, comportait autrefois deux portes, l'une à gauche pour les piétons, l'autre au centre pour les attelages. Une troisième a été percée puis murée.
