To make a day of it

Manoir stands in Urville (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

On the western edge of Urville, in the Laize valley, stands a manor farm whose buildings, partly in ruins, enclose a quiet courtyard. Among them is a mid-14th-century hall house, a manorial chapel altered over later centuries, and a cellar dating back to the late 13th century. The chapel, dedicated to Saint Vigor, served as the village's parish church until a new one was built in the early 17th century.
