Built in the early 1750s between Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives and Falaise, the château de Vendeuvre embodies the ideal of a Norman country house under Louis XV. The Le Forestier d'Osseville family kept its original interior decoration, woodwork and furniture included, spared by the Revolution. Room by room, visitors can see domestic life as it was lived in the 18th century, and the restored orangery houses a collection of miniature furniture as well as antique dog kennels. The gardens, recreated from the 1813 land survey, complete the visit with their water features and shell grotto.
