What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit au 18e siècle par François-Joseph de Marguerit, président honoraire au Parlement en 1741. Le château présentait un corps de logis massé à neuf travées, et un pavillon d'angle à l'est, relié par une galerie. Le caractère dissymétrique pourrait attester un inachèvement du projet. En 1912, construction de l'aile ouest, ou grande galerie, qui rééquilibre l'ensemble. La cour d'honneur, auparavant close, s'ouvre de parterres agrémentés de statues aux angles. L'intérieur conserve son grand vestibule d'entrée, le plafond du salon chinois et quelques décors subsistants (cuir de Cordoue dans la cage d'escalier, plafond peint du 19e du salon d'hiver).
