Château de Carrouges stands in Carrouges (Orne), in the Normandie region of France. What the French Ministry of Culture records
Les parties les plus anciennes (châtelet d'entrée et partie nord-ouest) semblent remonter au 15e siècle. Modifications et réfections réalisées aux 16e et 17e siècles. L'édifice est entouré de douves et d'un parc. Une terrasse s'étend devant la face sud. Elle est prolongée à l'est et à l'ouest par des allées terminées par des grilles. Le château est construit sur un plan carré, avec cour intérieure, et renforcé à chacun de ses angles par une tour ou un corps de bâtiment. Au nord-ouest se trouve le donjon carré du 15e siècle, conservant des parties du 13e siècle. La façade nord date du 15e siècle. Le reste du château remonte au 17e siècle. A l'intérieur, l'escalier d'honneur en briques, du 17e siècle, a été conservé. Un salon présente des lambris de la même époque. Une antichambre est ornée d'un plafond peint du 16e siècle, ainsi qu'une chambre dite de Louis XI. Le pavillon d'entrée, près des grilles, est une construction du 16e siècle, rectangulaire, renforcée à chaque angle par une tourelle.
