Château de Couterne stands in Couterne (Orne), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Set between Normandy and Maine, the Château de Couterne stands surrounded by water, its two round towers of granite and pink brick framing the entrance. Built in the 16th century for Jehan de Frotté, a figure close to Marguerite de Navarre, the building was later altered, losing four of its original six towers when an extra storey and two brick pavilions were added. Inside are Louis XVI style fireplaces and panelling, while terraced gardens laid out behind the house are enclosed by a moat.
