Standing in Eu, in Seine-Maritime, this sixteenth-century château replaced a Norman stronghold whose history goes back to the tenth century. Once home to the Guise family and later the Orléans, it still bears the marks of successive alterations, from Pierre Fontaine to Viollet-le-Duc, despite a fire that destroyed part of the main building in 1902. The premises now house both the town hall and the Louis-Philippe museum.
