What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château occupe la place de l'ancien village dont l'église se trouvait à l'emplacement de l'orangerie. Ils disparurent vers 1768. Un manoir du 13e siècle a précédé le château actuel, situé sur le tertre au-dessus du potager. Cet édifice disparut pour faire place au château actuel, construit de 1763 à 1767. L'édifice est situé au fond d'un jardin à la française bordé au nord par l'orangerie, la ferme et le logement des jardiniers ; au sud par les écuries et le logement du concierge. Le jardin à la française a été amputé sous Louis XVIII lors de la création de la route. Ce château est un bon exemple du style classique de la fin du règne de Louis XV. L'intérieur est garni de boiseries ainsi que de tapisseries provenant de l'ancien manoir. Les peintures sont de François Snyders.
