To make a day of it

Château de Villers-en-Ouche stands in Villers-en-Ouche (Orne), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first quarter of the 18th century, fourth quarter of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Château de Villers-en-Ouche stands a short distance from the village, in the Orne department. The present building is the result of successive alterations, from a 17th-century core to interior layouts reworked under Louis XVI. The estate retains a coherent set of outbuildings, gardens and garden follies, including two pavilions known as the petit Trianon and petite Hollande. An alcove bedroom on the first floor keeps wallpaper attributed to the Réveillon manufactory, dating from around 1780.
