Standing in the town centre of Gacé, this former Norman stronghold still shows a massive 14th-century tower known as the Talbot Tower, along with two round brick towers built in the mid-15th century to flank the entrance. Its facades were later reworked up to the 19th century, giving the whole a layered, composite look. The building now houses the town's municipal offices as well as a small museum devoted to Marie Duplessis, the Lady of the Camellias, who was born in Gacé.
