What the French Ministry of Culture records
Au 11e siècle existait une maison forte qui s'agrandit jusqu'à devenir, au 16e siècle, un château fortifié entouré de larges douves. Les angles étaient cantonnés de quatre grosses tours circulaires. Au début du 18e siècle, le château est entièrement rénové. A partir de 1705, un pavillon central encadré de deux ailes terminées par des pavillons massifs remplace l'ancien bâtiment. En 1722, une tour s'effondre. Au début du 19e siècle, l'aile et le pavillon ouest, incendiés, doivent être démolis. Subsistent aujourd'hui deux tours sur les quatre, et la moitié d'un long bâtiment du 18e siècle, qui reliait les deux tours disparues.
