Built by the Tournebu family over the remains of a twelfth-century stronghold, it retains its moat, a pentagonal courtyard lined with an arcaded gallery, and a garden where peacocks roam. Left to the town of Lisieux in 1957, it now operates as a museum holding the furniture and artworks gathered by its last private owner, including paintings by Léon Riesener.
