What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château était inclus, jusqu'au début du 19e siècle, dans le domaine de la Motte-Fouquet. Les seigneurs de la Motte y avaient bâti, au 18e siècle, un pavillon de chasse. Entre 1868 et 1883, l'ancien pavillon est détruit par les nouveaux propriétaires et un ensemble de bâtiments est construit. Outre le logis, s'ordonnent autour d'une cour les écuries, la remise à voitures, le chenil, une orangerie et la maison du piqueur partiellement détruite par des bombardements de 1940. Ces édifices présentent une polychromie brique et pierre, ainsi que des détails néo-gothiques. Les dispositions intérieures ont été conservées.
