Petit-Jard is a complex of buildings from the second half of the nineteenth century, erected on the site of an eighteenth-century hunting lodge. Between 1868 and 1883, new owners demolished this earlier pavilion and built a main residence surrounded by outbuildings: stables, carriage house, kennel, orangery, and huntsman's lodge. The ensemble is distinguished by its neo-gothic style and polychrome brickwork and stonework. Partly damaged during bombardments in 1940, the château retains its period interior arrangements.
