What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château existait en 1528. Avec ses dépendances, le manoir forme un quadrilatère. Le corps de logis principal, celui du 16e siècle, en occupe toute la face occidentale. Il est terminé, à ses angles, par quatre tourelles rondes, deux de plain-pied, deux en encorbellement. Une tourelle hexagonale adossée à la face orientale, sert de cage d'escalier. Le manoir est précédé, à l'est, d'une cour refaite aux 17e et 18e siècles, mais qui existait dès les débuts. Elle était entourée d'un mur crénelé, percé de meurtrières. Le parapet devait être muni d'un chemin de ronde qui communiquait avec le bâtiment principal. La porte d'entrée devait être encadrée par deux pilastres cannelés à chapiteaux doriques et surmontée d'un entablement avec corniche à denticules.
