The château de Saint-Denis stands in Sauveterre-Saint-Denis, in the Lot-et-Garonne department, on an estate owned by the de Bastard family since the 17th century. The present building dates from the 1840s, rebuilt further from the Garonne river after the original château, too exposed to flooding, was torn down. It bears the mark of Bordeaux architect Jean Burguet, visible in its white facade, mansard roof and twin flanking pavilions. The park, planted with centuries old trees, and the U shaped outbuildings with their orangery complete this estate, listed as a historic monument.
