Schloss Burgpreppach stands in Burgpreppach (Landkreis Haßberge), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Burgpreppach stands at the heart of the village of Burgpreppach, in the Landkreis Haßberge in Bavaria. This large Baroque residence, left unfinished, still belongs to the family that had it built in the early eighteenth century and remains a private home to this day. The original design, drawn up by architect Joseph Greissing and later continued by Balthasar Neumann for the grand staircase and interiors, was never fully realised: the planned second upper storey was never added, and the facades were never plastered as intended. Inside, a notable feature is the great festival hall decorated with stucco work and painted eighteenth-century wall hangings.
