Schloss Eyrichshof stands in Ebern (Landkreis Haßberge), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Eyrichshof stands about one kilometer north of Ebern, in Lower Franconia, Bavaria. This former moated manor has belonged to the von Rotenhan family since the 14th century, and family members still live there today. The three-winged complex combines an imposing Renaissance facade with a more austere Baroque wing added in the 18th century, set within an extensive English-style park. Notable features include the castle chapel, rebuilt after a fire in the late 17th century, and the massive round tower guarding the west wing.
What to know
- The castle is privately inhabited and its interior can only be visited on special occasions.
- Access to the large forecourt is otherwise free, allowing views of the facade, the heraldic gateway and the chapel from outside.
- The English-style park bordering the south and west sides of the castle can be explored independently of the building itself.
- The castle is listed as a Baudenkmal in Bavaria.
