To make a day of it
Schloss Craheim stands in Stadtlauringen (Landkreis Schweinfurt), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Craheim, near Stadtlauringen in the Landkreis Schweinfurt, Bavaria, ranks among the youngest castles in Bavaria, erected between 1908 and 1910 outside the village of Wetzhausen. It was commissioned by Crafft Freiherr Truchsess von und zu Wetzhausen and his American wife Clara Erhart, daughter of a co-founder of the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, who found the old family castle too cold and outdated. The building loosely echoes the south facade of Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart but was expanded into a four-wing complex blending baroque, rococo and neoclassical elements. Inside, several reception rooms, from the golden salon to a Renaissance-style library, still retain their original decoration.
