Une demeure de nobles se serait élevée dès le 13e siècle à l'emplacement de l'actuel château des Ifs. En 1577, construction du châtelet, dont subsiste la tourelle d'escalier, transformé aux 18e et 19e siècles. Entourée d'un mur d'enceinte, la propriété comporte, outre le châtelet, un passage d'entrée donnant sur la cour, deux dépendances et, au sud du châtelet, un jardin agrémenté d'ifs, de magnolias et de haies de buis et limité par une belle balustrade en grès.
