Château de Hierges stands in Hierges (Ardennes), in the Grand Est region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 16th century, 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on a rocky spur above the Joncquière valley, near the border between the Ardennes and Belgium, the ruins of Hierges castle recall a stronghold that once watched over the trade route linking Saint-Quentin to Cologne. Three round towers of red brick and blue stone, remnants of a rebuilding campaign begun in 1560 after the medieval castle's destruction, still stand within a partly collapsed enclosure wall. The site, now privately owned, blends military history with local legend, including the tale of the fairy Mélusine said to have raised the castle in a single night.
