Château de Selles-sur-Cher stands in Selles-sur-Cher (Loir-et-Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, 16th century, 17th century). Adult admission costs 10 EUR. Its opening hours and prices were verified at the source on August 26, 2026.
In Selles-sur-Cher, on the border between Berry and Touraine, this castle keeps a 13th-century tower, the remnant of a fortified complex raised in 1212 on a trapezoidal motte. The pavilions and gateway surrounding it today date from the early 17th century, when the estate belonged to the Béthune family. The visit takes place entirely on the ground floor, within a site ringed by moats fed by the Cher river.
