Château de Vendôme stands in Vendôme (Loir-et-Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 12th century, 14th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on the hill overlooking Vendôme and the left bank of the Loir, the ruins of this fortified castle bear witness to several centuries of successive building campaigns, from the 12th to the 16th century. Visitors can still make out the northern enclosure with its towers and curtain walls, a stair tower known as the Tour de l'Éperon, and traces of a keep and seigneurial lodgings. Visible from the lower town, the site recalls the counts of Vendôme and later the Bourbon-Vendôme family, several of whom were born or lived there.
