Le manoir associé à son moulin sont évoqués dès 1268 dans les documents d'archives. La propriété est implantée sur le cours de la Houzée. Les bâtiments se déploient autour de deux cours : celle du manoir, avec les écuries, le logis du fermier et l'actuelle bibliothèque et celle où se regroupent les bâtiments agricoles et le moulin. Construit sur le ruisseau, ce dernier est modernisé en 1850 et conserve l'ensemble de son mécanisme, sa ventellerie et son bief. Le manoir et l'écurie sont les deux bâtiments qui distinguent le site d'Huchigny en raison de leurs charpentes à assemblages dites «à la Philibert Delorme». Le manoir médiéval se caractérise par trois phases d'évolution, visibles essentiellement au niveau des caves et du rez-de-chaussée. Ainsi, une porte située dans les caves remonte au 16ème siècle. L'extension au nord-est, avec des murs de refend dotés d'une cheminée, détermine la seconde étape. La troisième grande phase d'évolution du bâtiment d'habitation principal se situe entre 1781-1782 et 1818-1819.
