What the French Ministry of Culture records
Fief connu à partir du 14e siècle. Le château, construit probablement au cours du 15e siècle, appartient à la typologie des hautes tours donjons quadrangulaires, flanquées d'une tourelle contenant un escalier à vis et surmontées d'un couronnement défensif autour d'un chemin de ronde. Vers 1850, travaux de restauration destinés à le rendre habitable (toitures, percement de baies néogothiques, décors intérieurs ). L'enceinte médiévale qui entourait le donjon a conservé son tracé, une partie de ses murs et trois tours de guet carrées. Différents bâtiments de communs ont été bâtis au 18e siècle (maison de gardien, grand pavillon ouest) et au début du 20e (grange et hangar nord-est, dépendances à l'est). Un parc a été aménagé par le paysagiste Treyve.
