Château de Beaumont stands in Agonges (Allier), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second quarter of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Built in 1740 on the site of a medieval stronghold, of which a round tower still remains, the château de Beaumont stands on a terrace in Agonges, in the Allier department. The main building is flanked by two towers and faces a courtyard lined with two matching pavilions, one housing a chapel, the other a former billiard room. A circular dovecote and a hexagonal pavilion, known as the Chinese pavilion, standing on its own terrace along the approach lane, complete the ensemble. The facades have changed little since the 18th century, apart from two garden-side wings added around 1850.
