The Château de Ronno stands in the Monts du Beaujolais, on a site held by the same family since the seventeenth century. Its present appearance dates from a rebuilding campaign carried out in the second quarter of the eighteenth century, after an older fortified house was pulled down, though its fifteenth-century kitchen and monumental chimney survive. The surrounding park, planted with rare tree species in the nineteenth century, together with the farm buildings, reflects a long working estate rather than a courtly residence.
