Château de Maubranche stands in Moulins-sur-Yèvre (Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 15th century, limite 19th century 20th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Built on a seigneurial mound recorded as early as the 12th century, Maubranche castle in Moulins-sur-Yèvre, in the Cher department, owes its present appearance to a major renovation carried out between 1888 and 1914 by architect Ernest Sanson, who restored its medieval character after centuries of alterations. The 90-hectare park bears the mark of landscape designers Henri and Achille Duchêne, who created a French-style garden with a boulingrin lawn, parterres and a broad green vista. Sculptures by Félix de Chaumont-Quitry and Marie-Antoinette Demagnez de la Rochefoucauld are scattered throughout the grounds.
