Overlooking the Charente river in the commune of Nersac, Fleurac castle displays the typical silhouette of Charente manor houses with decorative crenellation, the result of an early 17th century rebuilding over the remains of a late medieval structure. The balustraded terraces, stone staircase and great hall decorated with 18th century plasterwork reflect the successive changes made to the building through the 19th century. On the north facade, traces of gothic mouldings recall the site's older origins, while the south facade carries neo-gothic additions from a later period.
