Château de Choisy stands in Choisy (Haute-Savoie), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
The Château de Choisy, also known as Château de la Balme, stands in the Haute-Savoie region, in the commune of Choisy. Built in 1559 by a notable figure from the Genevois area, this former fortified house still has its Renaissance entrance decorated with a family coat of arms and a fireplace from the same period, the only element listed as a historic monument. The quadrangular complex, which includes a chapel and a gatehouse tower housing a dovecote, reflects several centuries of ownership among Savoyard families before it became a working farm after the Revolution.
