Construit pour l'essentiel au 16e siècle (façade sud) et au 17e siècle (aile des Prélats) , il subit une destruction systématique à partir de 1794. Sauvegardé durant la seconde moitié du 19e siècle et restauré au début du 20e siècle. Aménagements intérieurs par Marie Fontaine, propriétaire de 1912 à 1937. 3 séjours de Madame de Sévigné qui y meurt.
