Perched above Busset, a few kilometres from Vichy, this fortified castle belonged to a single family, the Bourbon Busset, from the late 15th century until recently. Visitors can see a rare medieval keep known as a 'maison à chemises', its doubled walls concealing a defensive inner passage, alongside a watchtower still covered in its original chestnut shingles. Moats, a drawbridge and a gallery decorated with 16th century frescoes complete this ensemble, reshaped over the centuries.
