On the heights of the Mont d'Or, the Trolanderie estate combines a pentagonal main house flanked by three round towers dating from the 15th century, a chapel, an orangery and a wooded park. The buildings bear the mark of three distinct periods: the medieval fortified house, the alterations commissioned from Jean-Antoine Morand in the 1770s, and a late 19th century campaign that produced the Moroccan salon and reshaped the gardens. Inside, Versailles-pattern parquet floors, wood panelling, older doorways and a Pre-Raphaelite style stained-glass window have survived.
