Built in a single campaign between 1610 and 1616 by Jean de Sève on the remains of a medieval fortified house, the château de Fléchères retains its four corner towers, deep moats and stone bridge. Inside, the seventeenth century painted decor stands out, along with a Protestant temple fitted into the top floor of the main building and hidden behind false windows on the facade. The whole estate, outbuildings, terraced garden and water system included, went through a period of neglect before being restored from 1998 onwards.
