The Harff'sche Burg stands as a ruin on the private grounds of the Trompeterhof, between the Neffelbach stream and the cemetery of Nörvenich. Built in 1565 by Johann von Harff zu Geilenkirchen on a property dating back to the early 15th century, this former lowland castle of brick construction had a massive round tower at its eastern corner, facing a slender stair tower on the south side. Uninhabited since 1880, it collapsed gradually, losing its roof and then its stepped gables over the course of the 20th century, and today survives only as remains.
