Château des Millets stands in Saint-Didier-en-Donjon (Allier), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 15th century, 16th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
The Château des Millets stands in Saint-Didier-en-Donjon, in the Allier department, built on the remains of a fortified house from the last quarter of the 15th century, its corner towers still faced in brick. A sculpted Renaissance façade was added the following century, and the estate grew further in the 18th century with additional pavilions and a new wing. Part of the interest lies in later, more unexpected features: a library of rose ash woodwork carved with stamp-collecting motifs, and a kitchen frieze designed by illustrator Benjamin Rabier, both tucked inside a late-medieval house.
