Built at the end of the 15th century for the Beauclair family, the building combines a main residence flanked by corner towers, outbuildings and a chapel. The structure has kept the defensive character typical of Auvergne architecture of that period, despite a roof rebuilt in the 18th century and interior renovations carried out around 1930.
