Château de Pesteils stands in Polminhac (Cantal), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: Fin du Middle Ages, second half of the 17th century). Adult admission costs 11 EUR. Its opening hours and prices were verified at the source on August 4, 2026.
Standing on a rocky spur above Polminhac and the Cère valley, the Château de Pesteils combines a keep dating from the 14th-15th centuries with a residential wing enlarged in the 17th century and reworked in a neo-Gothic style at the end of the 19th. The visit takes in rooms staged with wax figures, made by the Musée Grévin, depicting the history of the estate. Visitors also see restored 15th-century frescoes in the keep, 17th-century painted ceilings showing scenes from Greek mythology, and an old kitchen that has won an award.
