Standing above the Sioule river below the village of Saint-Quintin, this fortress dating from the 13th or 14th century once guarded the mouth of the gorges before becoming, in the 15th century, a country residence. Its main building, flanked by a square pavilion and a round tower, has kept a medieval appearance despite windows reworked during the Renaissance and classical periods. Inside, Gothic fireplaces sit alongside paintings attributed to Isaac Moillon around 1653, including a Death of Porcia. Nearby stands a chapel older than the castle itself, its choir dating back to the 10th or 11th century.
